    (Arabika, On Arabia)
Author:
Period covered:
Unknown
Language:
Greek
State of Preservation:
Fragmentary
Genre:
  • Secular history (local history)
Remarks:
The identification of the author is doubtful: as West (1974: 282-4) points out, we know of thirty different men with the same name but none of them is mentioned as the author of an Arabiκa. The work was written after the death of Constantine the Great. According to most scholars, the author can be linked to an Uranius who was friend of Libanius.
