Almost nothing is known about Cadmus. Even the second name the Suda mentions, Λυκῖνος, can be the product of textual corruption. He is said to be 'more recent' (νεώτερος), presumably in comparison with the Cadmus who precedes him (kappa 22, Adler: Roth - Whitehead 2003).
