Remarks:
In Severus’ Second book on the councils, the apologetical and doctrinal parts are much more developed than in the Book of the councils. The treatise contains, however, an extensive overview of the events related to the Council of Nicaea and of the successive developments in the history of the church up to the reign of Justin I.
