  • Chronicle (chronography)
Remarks:
The Chronicle was structured according to the Eusebian model: a chronography including series regum probably combined with longer narrative material, followed by chronological canons. Andronicus' discrepancies with Eusebius in the lists of kings are probably ultimately due to the differences between their Jewish chronologies. Andronicus amended the patriarchal chronology according to the Septuagint version. According to Michael the Great, Andronicus is the only one, except for Jacob of Edessa, to give an account on the Hebrew high-priests (Chabot 1899: 50). The references to Andronicus in Bar Ebroyo are most likely derived from Michael the Great. It is possible that the work was composed in Greek.
