The work survives in two versions: a shorter and a longer one. The longer one survives also in a Syriac translation.
The abridged version of the Martyrs of Palestine was part of the second edition of Eusebius' Ecclesiastical history (10 books in total) which was written in 313-314 and consisted of the seven books of the first edition, the separate work on the martyrs of Palestine and the Book IX. The third version of the Ecclesiastical history, written around 315, contained an even shorter version of the Martyrs of Palestine and the last book X.
