Remarks:
In his catalogue of Syriac writers, Andisho bar Brika mentions Henanisho as the author of an exegetical commentary and of a treatise of grammar, but he does not ascribe any historical work to him.
The anonymous author of the Abdridged ecclesiastical history (Mukhtaṣar al-akhbār al-bī'īyah) quotes him twice. The first quote is explicitly said to come from his Ecclesiastical history. In the second, the work is not mentioned. The second quote, a eulogy of Saint Ephrem the Syrian, is reported also in the Chronicle of Seert, with mention of the author but not of the work. The eulogy of Saint Ephrem, therefore, might as well come from another of Henanisho's works.
Elias of Nisibis quotes him as a source three times, but without specifying the title or the genre of the work he is drawing the information from.
