Remarks:
Jacoby (FGrHist 274: 314-315) supposes Teucer to have sided with Mithridates. As Stern (1974: 165) points out, this hypothesis is unconvincing. According to Roller (BNJ 274), both Appian and Plutarch quoted from Teucer's monograph, but such a hypothesis cannot be proven.
