Information from the year 378 until 422 or 439 in the Ecclesiastical history of Socrates of Constantinople may derive from a lost chronicle, which probably was also a source for Marcellinus Comes. Alternatively, the information derives from a single Constantinopolitan chronicle covering the fourth and fifth century (Geppert 1898; see also Becker e.a. 2016)
