Remarks:
A series of Greek fragments refers to Rufinus as a source for passages that cannot derive from his history. It seems possible that a Greek compilation of Rufinus circulated, which included additional material drawn from Eusebius and Socrates. In that case, Rufinus Graecus may be identical with Gelasius of Caesarea (Van Nuffelen 2002; Wallraff 2018, who seems mistakenly to understand that Van Nuffelen proposes not to identify both)
