Remarks:
Schmidt (1995) dates Solinus to the reign of Constantius II (337-361). One of the attested titles of Solinus' work - Polyhistor - has been considered an invention of copyists: however, there is the possibility that Solinus in person chose it while preparing a second edition of his work (Basile 2010: 10).
