Remarks:
Arud is quoted by Michael the Great and Bar Ebroyo as a source on  Job's fight against the Devil, which he places in the year 25 of Nahor’s reign. A similar entry is also extant in the Anonymous chronicle of 1234 but the name of Arud is not mentioned. It is likely that the Arud material reached the Syriac chronicles through Andronicus. Dionysius Bar Salibi quotes a certain Aroz the Chronicler as a witness, among others, for Job’s genealogy. This Aroz is clearly the same as Arud the Canaanite whom Michael the Great refers to. The information probably derives from Jacob of Edessa who in turn uses Andronicus (Hilkens 2018: 225).
