Remarks:
Müller (FHG III: 576) hypothesizes that Aspasius wrote a single work, entitled Περὶ Τύρου καὶ τῶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἱστορίαν σύμμικτον. In her edition, Adler (1928: 387) supports the hypothesis of the single work and removes the comma between Περὶ … αὐτῇ and ἱστορίαν σύμμικτον.
According to Heath (1998), Aspasius was a disciple of Valerius Aspines, and wrote the Τέχνη ῥητορική traditionally attributed to his master. See, however, Busine in BNJ 793.
