This work is the last part of the first book of Fredegar. It bears close resemblance to a brief Greek chronicle attributed to Epiphanius of Salamis (Schoene 1875: 97-102; see also the entry on Epiphanius) and is indeed clearly translated from the Greek. The original extent of the text is unclear: Pseudo-Fredegar may have updated it until Heraclius.
