Remarks:
As a source for the life of the catholicus Mar Aba I (520-552), the anonymous author of the Chronicle of Seert quotes a 'turjām' written on him by Ishobarnun. The editor and translator of the Chronicle, Addai Scher, renders the term with 'speech', taking it as a reference to one of Ishobarnun's unpreserved homilies. According to Louis Sako (1987: 160), though, it was rather a biography of Mar Aba.
