Remarks:
Traina argued that when Procopius mentions the history (ἱστορία) of the Armenians, he alludes to the Armenian written tradition in general, which he draws on for his own narrative. According to Traina, Procopius does not refer to a single literary work (Traina 1989: 407-409).
