Remarks:
The anonymous author of the Abridged ecclesiastical history (Mukhtaṣar al-akhbār al-bī'īyah) quotes a collection of stories of the catholicus Timothy I, referring to Papa being the first catholicus of the Church of the East. According to Teule (2009: 172), this piece of information is more likely to come from Timothy's canonical collection than from a work of history.
