Discourses on the devastation of Melitene

The term mīmrā can refer to discourses, speeches, treatises and a genre of poetic compositions. Since no indications are given about the metre, as is the case with John bar Shoushan, it cannot be proven that this mīmrā was a poem, although this is likely to have been the case. The title of the work is not preserved but the context in which Michael the Great quotes this source suggests that it dealt with the destruction of Melitene by the Turks in 1058.
