Remarks:
The Περὶ διαφορᾶς χαρακτήρων has not been considered an epitome like the Περὶ διαφορᾶς κωμῳδιῶν (see Nesselrath 1990: 30-31). However, Freudenburg (1993: 83) proposed to see it - as well as the first text - as a fragment of a wider treaty Περὶ κωμῳδίας (On comedy). The nature of the work (as well as its relationship with the Περὶ διαφορᾶς χαρακτήρων) remains unclear.
