Remarks:
Pseudo-Zachariah quotes on two occasions an unspecified 'chronicle' as his source of information about the succession of Roman emperors (namely that of Gallus by Volusianus, and that of Leo I by Leo II). According to Greatrex - Phenix - Horn - Brock - Witakowski (2011: 40-43), it was probably a chronicle that the anonymous compiler used as the chronological framework for his work. The chronicle provided most likely regnal years of the Roman emperors and dates expressed in Olympiad years.
