Remarks:
The original language of the work is uncertain, but its use by Michael the Great suggests Syriac. Jesus is quoted in the prefaces of both Armenian versions of Michael the Great's Chronicle as a Jewish witness for Christ, along with Julius Africanus and Hegesippus. The identification of these authors as Jews may probably be explained by their Palestinian origins, therefore a similar origin can be supposed for Jesus as well. The work need not be historiographical in nature.
