Remarks:
The fragments of a papyrus discovered and published in Strasburg by R. Reitzenstein (P. Strasburg 481) contain a piece of a mythological text on the creation of the world. Bidez (1903: 81-85) argues that it could be an introduction to the Πάτρια Ὀάσεως / Patria Oaseōs / Patria of Oasis. As has been demonstrated by Keydell (1936: 465-467), the idea is not plausible. Keydell links the papyrus to the patria of Antinoopolis by Hermeias, but his hypothesis is not demonstrable either. Livrea (1999: 69-73) attributes to Soterichos' work the text of another papyrus (P. Oxy. 4352). Yet, this one speaks about the foundation of Antinoopolis (Janiszewski 2006: 226).
According to Janiszewski (2006: 226-228), it is probable that Olympiodorus borrowed some information from Soterichus' work. There is no proof for this.
