(Quattuor libros de temporum qualitatibus et positionibus locorum, Four books on the nature of time and the location of places)
Period covered:
World history?
Language:
Latin
State of Preservation:
Fragmentary
Genre:
  • Secular history (breviarium)
  • Geography
Remarks:
The work offered a narrative summary of (world?) history, with attention for geography, and not a travel narrative or a geographical treatise, as is generally assumed (Van Hoof and Van Nuffelen 2020). Croke (1984) argues that the notice on Dara in Marcellinus Comes, Chronicon, a. 518 derives from this work, but there is little to support this idea.
