Av. Cameron and J. Herrin suggest that Promuntius was a member of the 'circle' that compiled the Parastaseis syntomoi chronikai (Cameron - Herrin 1984: 264). According to chapter 69 of the Parastaseis, Promuntius authored writings about prophesies and a local history about Constantinople.
