Title(s):
  • Chronicle
Period covered:
Creation-author's time?
Language:
Greek
State of Preservation:
Fragmentary
Genre:
  • Chronicle (chronica)
  • Chronicle (chronography)
Remarks:
Later Greek and Armenian sources mention a chronicle of Epiphanius of Salamis, whilst Cyril of Scythopolis attributes an original calculus of Annus mundi years to him. There are also some similarities between this material and the anonymous Book of chronicles preserved in Pseudo-Fredegar. It is possible, therefore, that this is an authentic work.
