This chronicle was at a later date prefixed to the Chronicle of Ireland. The text is to be accessed through editions of later annals that are supposed to depend on it. McCarthy (1998, 2004, 2008) disputes this reconstruction and proposes that Rufinus of Aquileia composed a chronicle that was expanded by Sulpicius Severus and transmitted to Gaul.
