List of kings of the Vandals and Alans

Mommsen considered the list to be an independent text, but see Steinacher (2004) for the argument that it is an African continuation of Prosper's chronicle. Two editions can be distinguished, one after 523 and one after 534. The two main manuscripts represent two very different uses of a common source and are best treated as different texts (the Parisinus/Augiensis recension, containing additional information, and the Matritensis recension).
