Remarks:
While describing the emigrations of Goths, Stephanus mentions a book of his own dedicated to Byzantium (ὡς εἴρηταί μοι ἐν τοῖς Βυζαντιακοῖς). According to Meineke (1958: 212), the grammar does not make reference to an entire book, but only to an entry of his Ethnica (cf. 189, 12-190, 10 Meineke = β 130 Billerbeck). Such an interpretation has been rejected by Billerbeck (2006: 435 n. 97).
