With Damaris, Zamardus is a source for the war waged by Qamardos, king of the Chaldeans against the Qalatu people. With Qomabaros the Assyrian, he reports the death date of Peleg and Nimrud. He is instead the only witness for the reign of Samiros, king of the Chaldeans. The genre of chronicle can be inferred from this note. The material may have come to Michael via Andronicus.
