Chronicle

Title(s):
  • Chronicle
Period covered:
Adam-2nd c.
Language:
Greek
State of Preservation:
Fragmentary
Genre:
  • Chronicle (chronica)
Remarks:
John Malalas cites under the name of Eusebius a chronicle which cannot be by Eusebius of Caesarea. Unless he has invented the name, we must assume either that this chronicle used Eusebius and that Malalas refers to Eusebius as the more prestigious name, or that it circulated pseudonymously.
