Remarks:
The latter part of the work has been ascribed to an Anonymus post Dionem (Anonymous after Dio), but this should be rejected. See Banchich 2015 for a full discussion and bibliography. According to Bleckmann 1992, Peter is the origin of the Byzantine Leoquelle, a name that refers to shared material in Byzantine chronicles for the years 222-395.
