Remarks:
The identification of the historian Cornutus is not easy (Cornell 2013: 426-428). The fragments of his historical work describe the civil war between Caesar and Pompey. Since they are insufficient to reconstruct the complete structure of the History, it is not possible to determine the starting point of Lachares' work.
