Remarks:
The Claudianus mentioned by the scholium to Palatine Anthology 1.19 as the author of four patria, has been identified with Claudius Claudianus, the famous Latin poet active at the turn of the 4th and 5th c. (Al. Cameron 1970: 8). Yet, it is also possible that he is a different poet (Jacoby, FGrHist 282; Janiszewski 2006: 310-312; Focanti 2016).
