The historian Rubellius Blandus is only mentioned in Servius, Commentary on Georgics 1.102-103 and cannot be identified. Most likely he was a member of the family of the Rubellii Blandi (Cornell 2013a: 625). Syme (1983: 74) identifies him with the suffect consul of 18 AD or the rhetorician often mentioned by Seneca the Elder (Brzoska 1889: 557-558). There is a remote possibility that he would be late antique.
